Giving F.A.Q.

What does my gift to TRP support?
Gifts to TRP help us accomplish our mission to change church teachings on human sexuality and gender orientation to make them more affirming of LGBTQ Christians. Your gifts support our programs to carry out this mission, including our leadership development program, our annual training conference, our Elevating the Dialogue pastors forums in non-affirming churches, our Academy for Racial Justice, and the development of our online resources.

Is my donation to TRP tax-deductible?
Yes. TRP is a 501(c)3 nonprofit, so if you live in the United States, donations to TRP are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law. You will receive a tax statement via mail or e-mail in January stating the total amount of your gifts from the previous year.

Is my credit card information secure?
Yes. TRP uses the most trusted and secure company, Authorize.net, to process your gifts. We do not store your credit card information on our servers or in our database, nor do we give your information to other organizations or companies.

Will I get a receipt after I make a gift?
Yes. You will receive a formal receipt via email if you give online or an acknowledgment letter via mail if you send a check. You will also receive a tax statement in January for your records.

What if I want to mail a check?
We gladly accept checks! Checks do not incur processing fees in the same way that online credit card gifts do, so more of your gift can go directly to helping LGBTQ Christians. You can mail your check to:

Where does TRP get its funding?
TRP receives generous gifts from donors like you, as well as churches and grants from foundations.

I have more questions. Can I talk to someone about giving to TRP?
Yes! Our development director, Lauren Gray, would be happy to speak with you. You can email her at lgray@reformationproject.org with your question or to set up a time to talk, or you can call her directly at (850) 524-0163.
